Cafundó created a piloting simulation in virtual reality for a new concept of smart glasses by Riffel Motospirit.
The experience, developed for Oculus Rift, can also be used in the 360º version made for YouTube on desktop or mobile.
The project, conceived for the Salão Duas Rodas 2015 in São Paulo, was intended to make the Riffel Motospirit customer experience the sensation of riding an off road motorcycle using the brand's new concept glasses: the MX Vision. MX Vision presents visual information while the rider is driving, and contains several utilities during the trajectory, such as recording photos and videos, tracking speed, mileage, temperature and much more.
In addition to the 360º video for Youtube, the product was exhibited at the Salão Duas Rodas 2015 in São Paulo. We received great feedback, which attracted many people to the stand every day and also led them into an extremely rich experience that simulated the use of the new Riffel Motospirit product, the MX Vision glasses.
In addition to being used as a simulation of product use, Virtual Reality is a technology with several applications, being extremely attractive. You can provide the user with an immersion in the environment proposed by the company and also move them at the time of the experience.
Filming was also a big challenge, you have to think about image stabilization, good video quality, editing and other elements that will make up the interface. For the MX Vision project, movie capture was carried out in Socorro-SP and several project requirements had to be met, so we went to personally witness and direct the capture.
Virtual Reality is an extremely immersive technology, so the interface must support and increase the user's feeling of being present in the virtual environment.
The User Interfaces created for MX Vision needed to be properly sized and legible, ensuring that the user could clearly follow the information about the route.
